Zavod Vesela dRuščina (the ZAVOD Vesela dRuščina Institute) is an educational and counselling institute. Its goal is to ensure an all-around support for multicultural families and immigrant families from former Soviet Union countries in Slovenia. The main purpose of the Institute is to develop and nurture intercultural dialogue between the Slovenian social environment and immigrants and to exercise programmes in the field of:

• Language education and intercultural communication,

• Easier integration of immigrant families from former Soviet Union countries into different spheres of social, economic, political and cultural life,

• Encouragement of intercultural communication and learning,

• Organisation of events that enable social contacts between children and youth from the same environment and strengthening communication directed at creating a more pluralistic environment and other programmes of cultural, spiritual, educational, charitable, entertaining and sports nature.
