Extension of a temporary residence permit

Under the same conditions as for the issue of the first temporary residence permit, another person may apply for an extension to a permit in your stead (e.g. an employer, research organisation, higher education institution, or a representative of one of the contracting parties).

A temporary residence permit may be extended under the same conditions that apply for its issue; therefore, you are required to attach evidence that the conditions have been met, in the same way as when obtaining the first temporary residence permit.

If you wish to extend your temporary residence permit, you may submit the application for an extension to an administrative unit before its expiry.
