
Programmes for getting acquainted with Slovenian history, culture and constitutional system
These programmes are intended for citizens of third countries who either hold a permanent residence permit or have been residing in the Republic of Slovenia for at least 2 years on the basis of a temporary residence permit that has been issued with a validity of one year. Your family members who have obtained a residence permit on the basis of a family reunion may also participate in the aforementioned programmes, but only if you meet the conditions for participation in the programme yourself.
Basic proficiency in Slovenian is required for participation in these programmes.
The programmes are free of charge; you only need to cover the travel expenses and expenses for learning tools and materials.
When you have finished the programme, you will sit an exam, which will be administered by the programme provider.
Application for participation in the programme
You file an application for the issue of a confirmation on compliance with the conditions for participation in the programmes for getting acquainted with Slovenian history, culture and the constitutional system with the administrative unit where you registered your permanent or temporary residence. If you meet the required conditions, the administrative unit will issue the aforementioned confirmation. You then bring the confirmation to one of the selected programme providers.
You cannot participate in the programmes if you have finished schooling at any level in Slovenia.
